Getting to know us

     Ok so I have never blogged before and I am not sure how I am supposed to starts so I guess I will start with us. Dan and I met each other while we were both stationed in 29 Palms California. Dan was a Marine and I was a Navy Corpsman. We met right around the 4th of July in 2004, he was recently divorced and wasn't looking for someone new but God had a different plan. We started dating towards the end of July and were married in Las Vegas on January 21, 2005.  We were both so happy and felt extremely blessed to have found one another! 

     Dan had two beautiful sons Danny and Dylan  from his previous marriage and while we were in 29 Palms we were blessed to be with them everyother weekend and everyother holiday. We enjoyed every moment even though those moments never seemed to last long enough.  All too soon Dan and I received orders to go to Okinawa Japan for three years. We discussed what we should do about the boys, and knew in our hearts that it wasn't in their best interest to move them from their home and away from their mother to live with us in Japan. We knew that Dan would be deployed often and that they would spend the majority of the time with me, and as much as it hurt us we knew we needed to do what was best for them. So with heavy hearts we left them in 29 Palms and moved to Okinawa.
